Can not download files in chorme nd egde

Wilfred, Thanks. The word documents are downloading into the download folder. But what my problem is that they are not showing on the bottom left of the screen so that I can open them, without going to the download folder. This is newish problem. I have no problem if I use Google Chrome.

Can you provide me the download link of that word document if that is possible so I can replicate it here on my end? I have tried to download other stuff on the web using Edge and didn't encounter the same problem.
